Paintless Dent Repair Training
Minor dents caused by hail, door dings, minor body creases and minor bumper dents on both aluminum and steel panels can be fixed without repainting the entire car. For these types of dents, our technicians use paintless dent repair, which involves the following processes:
- Metal rods and picks are used to push out the dents from the underside of the body panel.
- Glue and a special tab are also used to pull out the dents.
- Small high spots are tapped down to create a flat surface.
- The newly flattened, barely visible repair surface is painted to match the rest of the car.
When performing paintless dent repair, training and experience are key. If a technician pushes too hard when raising the dent, the paint will crack and ruin the repair. Our Master paintless dent repair technician at Automotive Alliance has over 25 years experience in the industry and also leads the paintless dent repair segment of our auto reconditioning training program.
